Battle for inauguration: Delhi L-G, Kejriwal govt lock horns over GGSIPU campus

The opening of the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University campus in east Delhi has emerged as the most recent issue of contention between lieutenant governor VK Saxena and the AAP-led municipal administration.

Both parties asserted that they will inaugurate the recently constructed campus.

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief executive, will dedicate the GGSIPU campus in east Delhi on June 8

according to an announcement made by Delhi's minister of education Atishi on Tuesday.

The L-G office claimed that even though the education minister "fully well" knew that the Lt Governor would announce the chief minister's inauguration, she yet did so.

Kejriwal was informed that L-G Saxena was slated to launch the campus, according to the office note.
