Giants release LB Blake Martinez

In an unexpected decision, the New York Giants released veteran

linebacker Blake Martinez on Thursday. Despite accepting

a pay cut, he was not elected captain this year, and he is currently

a free agent searching for a new team. Only three games

were played by Martinez last season, all of which he started.
